A message from Angela Barker, Chief Medical Officer

New River Health has always provided high-quality affordable healthcare to our community. During this unprecedented times we have made changes in our process to ensure our staff and patients the utmost safety.  As the country begins to re-open, we understand you may have hesitations about going out into public. NRHA has implemented several protective measures at all of our locations to provide our patients and staff a safe environment. We continue to offer tele-health visits with your provider, and if you don't have capacity for video, we also offer tele-phonic visits to talk with your provider about your healthcare needs.  If you have a need to physically visit one of our clinic locations you will be screened to determine if you can safely enter the building. This is to protect patients as well as our essential healthcare staff.  We are practicing social distancing at all locations with staff and patients. We now offer curbside delivery for your prescriptions or you can have them mailed to your home at no charge. We will offer every person that enters the clinic a mask, and encourage use especially while in common areas such as waiting rooms. You will notice less people in the waiting rooms as we are putting people in exam rooms quicker and limiting patient guest to only those who absolutely need assistance (children or handicapped are permitted guests).  We also have dedicated staff members who clean common areas several times a day, all day long.

Please do not avoid seek medical care, delaying treatment or ignoring symptoms can make chronic medical conditions worse or require longer treatment than usual.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us at 304-469-2905 to speak to one of our team members or access your patient portal to ask your provider questions or request appointments.

Thank you for choosing New River Health for your healthcare needs. We hope you and your family stay safe and well! Have a safe Memorial Day weekend!
